An app from the power company inspired reducing electricity consumption

Sanna Siniluhta has noted that even moderate changes can reduce electricity bills. She follows daily the electricity consumption of her home via a mobile app.

The family of Sanna Siniluhta, a Vaajakoski resident, moved in 2011 into a semi-detached house where oil had been replaced with geothermal heating.

The women-only swimming session is again organized every month in Vaajakoski Wellamo swimming hall

The women-only swimming shift is being organized by City of Jyväskylä sports services as a part of the NytLiikkelle service package. The session is set every month at the Wellamo swimming hall in Vaajakoski, Jyväskylä.

The women's shift for the 2022–2023 season is organized once a month on Fridays from 18:00 to 20:30.

This year, the City of Light event will take place on 29.9.-8.10.2022.

Jyväskylä’s community centres start the autumn in a happy mood

The Kortteli Club and the Piippuranta Club have re-opened in August, after the summer break. Several volunteer-run groups have already started meeting, and from the beginning of September, local community centres will be buzzing again. As usual, open and free activities for all ages are organised on weekdays.
